Lifestyle and Attractions
Lovingly referred to as a “Crossroad of Progress”, Archdale is strategically located at the crossroads of the I-85 and I-74 corridors, making it a city that is poised to grow. This small town is located about 20 and 25 miles from Greensboro and Winston-Salem, respectively, and serves as a residential area for city commuters. The tight-knit community of Archdale stays connected with annual events and festivals, such as the Bush Hill Heritage Festival in the fall and Creekside Christmas during the winter. Residents purchase locally grown produce and visit with regional farmers at the Creekside Park Farmers’ Market each summer. While Archdale has a few comfort food restaurants in town, residents may access Greensboro, Winston-Salem or the neighboring city of High Point for dining, shopping and entertainment.
Archdale is home to Creekside Park, which is a popular recreational area for the community. Within the park’s 100 acres of land, you will find picnic shelters, athletic fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, an 18-hole championship disc golf course, and 1.5 miles of walking trails. Kersey Valley Attractions is another activity hub in the area, offering outdoor laser tag, a corn maze in the fall, a zip line, and most notably, one of the top 10 haunted houses in the country. The Hammon-Ragan House is a historic Victorian home in Archdale included on the National Register of Historic Places. It was originally constructed in 1880 and currently houses local businesses and organizations.

Archdale was officially incorporated in 1969. Today, the history and heritage of the area is celebrated at the annual Bush Hill Heritage Festival with music, games and crafts, attracting visitors from across the state.
